Description
Dracaena fragrans is a subtropical plant belonging to the Asparagaceae family, commonly known as the "corn plant" or "lucky bamboo."
This evergreen plant has a trunk that can grow up to 6 meters tall in its natural habitat. When grown indoors, it typically reaches about 2 meters, and in rare cases, it may grow up to 3 meters.
The mature plant produces a cream-colored spike flower with a very intense, sweet fragrance, up to 50 cm long; it rarely flowers indoors. After flowering, lateral shoots appear along the central trunk, which can give rise to new plants through cuttings.
